| Silk and Merino wool handmade felt midden jutting from a 6x6" (15x15cm box) Imagine stumbling upon a mysterious mound - the surface littered with strange objects.... is this a midden? Middens are really ancient dump sites - dig down and you will find old pottery shards, the remnants of many meals and other implements. They are hard to find according to scholars, requiring a good eye, soil chemistry tests and the like...but I like to imagine that these little mounds represent the wide range of midden landscapes. Find them and find a midden! I wish you luck. |
